Art That Tells a Story
I make art about identity, memory, loss, and the forces that shape us. Through mixed media, portraiture, color, texture, and symbolism, I explore what lies beneath the surface. Some pieces emerge from my own life; others grow from shared stories and experiences.
These themes come together in The Pink Gene Project, an evolving body of work exploring women, illness, identity, and what happens when the body is not believed. Through portraiture, painting, mixed media, found objects, medical imagery, and symbolism, I examine the complicated relationship between women and the medical system.
I am drawn to quiet burdens, hidden truths, and the strength it takes to keep going. For me, art is a way to make the unseen visible, honor the stories we carry, and give a voice to experiences that deserve to be witnessed.

This collection explores the tension between growth and decay, beauty and disruption, order and chaos.
Each work is built through accumulation. Layers of paint, marks, textures, scraping, splattering and partially concealed imagery create surfaces that feel simultaneously botanical, geological and cellular. Nothing appears completely untouched. Instead, each layer records what came before it.
Organic forms emerge from the accumulated surfaces like flowers, cells, organisms or fragments of memory. Bright bursts of color: particularly pink, green, turquoise and gold—interrupt quieter, weathered passages, creating moments of vitality within visual complexity.
The paintings are intentionally ambiguous. They can be experienced as landscapes, gardens, microscopic worlds or emotional environments. What initially appears chaotic reveals structure the longer the viewer looks.
Together, the works become a study of resilience and transformation: the idea that beauty does not require pristine conditions to exist. Sometimes it grows directly out of the damage, the accumulation, and everything that came before.

The Stone Remembers
48 × 48 inches | Original Mixed Media on Canvas
The Stone Remembers explores the quiet memory held within the landscape. The layers of time, weather, water, and experience that remain long after the moment has passed. Built through layers of texture, pigment, scraping, and gesture, the surface reveals itself slowly, much like a landscape shaped over time.
Earthy rusts and ochres meet cool blues and deep water tones, creating a shifting horizon between land, water, and sky. Beneath the surface are traces of marks and movement, suggesting that nothing is ever completely erased.
This piece is about memory, endurance, and the stories held by the places we pass through.

A Quiet Truth
36 × 48 inches | Original Mixed Media on Canvas
A Quiet Truth explores the beauty of what exists beneath the surface—those emotions, memories, and experiences that are felt deeply but rarely spoken aloud.
Layers of soft gray, blue, ivory, and earthy tones build a weathered, atmospheric surface. Light emerges through the darker passages, creating a sense of movement and depth while leaving parts of the image intentionally unresolved. The result is both peaceful and unsettled—a landscape that feels familiar without belonging to any one place.
This piece invites a slower kind of looking. Not everything meaningful needs to announce itself. Some truths reveal themselves quietly, layer by layer.

A Brush, A Heartbeat
Every piece begins with something I feel- a thought, a memory, a question, or a story that refuses to be quiet. I paint from the heart, allowing color, texture, and movement to transform what words sometimes cannot express.
